What Our Colleagues Are Saying

The WKU XR Research Lab frequently collaborates with internal and external organizations including Jonesville Academy, KYNETIC, EPSCoR, the WKU Department of Theatre & Dance, and Warren County Public Schools.

‘STEAM’ projects bring together a team of faculty and students from science, engineering, and the arts and letters disciplines to create new ideas. Such efforts are supported and applauded.

The arts and sciences have always fed each other with constant inspiration and creativity… When technical sciences and artistic disciplines are integrated, they are inoculated against becoming stagnant, as practitioners of both disciplines find new applications from each other.

Professor Alan White
WKU Department of Theatre & Dance

My students and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit from the WKU XR Lab. The presentation was engaging and informative, and my students loved playing games on the Oculus. I encourage other schools to learn about this new and exciting technology.

The XR Lab creates this space where From visiting the lab, [The Jonesville Academy students] know of more opportunities available to them to mix their creativity and technical interest together. It removes any intimidation they may have to pursuing this work in the future and builds upon an already peaked interest in STEAM fields.
